Portraits

As with all portraits, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and so each of the main characters in The Luck of Two Magpies views the others from a certain viewpoint, an angle particular to him. For example, as Margarida is William’s mother and the matriarch of his House, she is his staunchest supporter, but as the plot advances, she also becomes more aware of his flaws.

And, as the plot advances, each character evolves–prompting him (or her) to adapt to new circumstancs, but also prompting him to adapt or to change his view of others.

Posted here, LOTM’s main characters’ personalities as seen by themselves and by each other.
